Mr. Bachchan, shut up and shut off your PC. Your cowardice is showing.

BOLLYWOOD REVEALED!

Amitabh Bachchan should stop making a fool of himself. If he does not know the right things to say at the right time he should keep his mouth firmly shut and shut off his PC.

What did he do after he learned of the terror attacks? He panics like an old woman!

"MUMBAI UNDER TERRORIST ATTACK !! SEVERAL LOCATIONS BOMBED AND TERRORISTS FIRING ALL OVER THE CITY. MAJOR HOTELS UNDER SEIGE. TAJ HOTEL BATTLE GOING ON INSIDE THE HOTEL. MULTIPLE ACTION ON. ARMY CALLED OUT. OVER 60 REPORTED KILLED AND 120 INJURED. 7 OF THE POLICE KILLED.

TERRIBLE ! TERRIBLE SITUATION !"

Bachchan should understand that he is not a mere actor. He is looked up to as an Indian icon. He is a symbol of some of the best things in India. He should have reacted with calm. He should have condemned the attacks and expressed his full confidence in the brave policemen, army soldiers and the commandos who were battling the murderous thugs. Instead he panics like a scared hen! Mr. Bachchan, what you write is quoted by many publications all over the world. Hardly does any good to our country's image, does it?

What did Bachchan say the next day?

He presents a poem by some Gorakh pandey, which talks of the frustrations of the unemployed and a weak government. So far so good. The he says,

"Before retiring for the night, I pulled out my licensed .32 revolver, loaded it and put it under my pillow. For a very disturbed sleep."

If it was supposed to be a smart dialogue, it left me cold. This was not the time to act the tough old man, who is sick of the system. It was the time to applaud the brave men fighting the terrorists. The recriminations could have come later.

In the next post, he is stung by the criticisms his writings provoked.

He says, "The act of pulling out my revolver is a symbolic metaphor, a figure of speech, to demonstrate my complete loss in faith in the system and in the governance, in providing me, a citizen of India, with my rightful sense of security. It is to demonstrate that now I shall have to personally look after my family and myself and not depend on the state. A state that is just so miserably incapable of protecting its citizens."

Mr. Bachchan you had the chance to do something some years ago. The people of Allahabad had voted you to parliament with a big majority. What did you do? You chickened out and left politics, calling it a cesspool. Then why crib about the poor governance India has today? You say that you are ready to march and face bullets. Why did you not stay on in politics and do something?

My advice is that Mr. Bachchan should keep his mouth shut. He is great actor, but a yellow human being. He should stop writing about things which are beyond his meagre courage.
