Koyal Rana is from Delhi. She is a student of St. Thomas High School in Delhi.
She won the Miss Teen India 2008, a beauty pageant sponsored by TVS Scooty on March 29, 2008.
She was one of the contestants of Miss Teen International 2008, a teenage pageant for girls in the age group of 13-18 years. She represented India at the Miss Teen International pageant held in Chicago from July 24 to July 26, 2008.
